S.T.R.A.P, which stands for Sound That Roars African Pride, is a Ugandan hip-hop artist from Kampala who is currently based in Kansas, USA.

As a child, he was heavily influenced by artists such as Nas, Mobb Deep, the Fugees, Pete Rock, J Dilla, Clipse, as well as reggae legends like Bob Marley, Burning Spear, and Peter Tosh. S.T.R.A.P began writing rhymes at the age of 11 and gradually transitioned into battle rapping as a teenager.

He moved to the United States in 2008 to attend university, and during the Christmas break that year, he recorded his first song with his cousin, Paul Nyakatura. From that point on, his music career began to take shape.
