Factor 8

We advocate on behalf of those infected and affected by anti-haemophilic clotting Factor products (Factor VIII & IX Concentrate) in the 1970's and 1980's that were infected with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. Factor 8 conducts research and investigation into the Contaminated Blood Scandal, raises awareness and has developed a unique and extensive reservoir of knowledge and evidence on the subject. In addition to investigatory work, we also provide support groups, information and updates for those affected. Acknowledging the role and work of Factor 8, in September 2018 the Chair of the Infected Blood Inquiry, Sir Brian Langstaff, designated our organisation as a Core Participant in the Inquiry where we are assisting the inquiry in achieving the best possible outcome.
