Cowboys Aren't Indians is the loose name for a number of on-again, off-again music projects involving a rotating group of players spanning 2003 to 2011. Cowboy’s music is the product of an eclectic collaboration—different songs frequently feature different players on different instruments. The group's seeds grew from a tight knit gang of friends who played music together in a small bedroom in Bountiful, Utah, primarily as a means for avoiding high school classes while simultaneously expressing deep-seated hatred for popular culture and commercial music. After a four year hiatus, the band wrote and recorded their Ted Dancin E.P. but shortly thereafter reluctantly parted ways. Today, the dream of a band reunion drifts between a fleeting moment of nostalgia and irregular jam sessions working through new songs.
